Vacation update
I sent out a vacation update to my friends, here's a snippet:
The house is coming along at a slow but steady pace. Contractors don't like to work, and they like it even less during the holidays, so scheduling a plastering guy and a painter has been a bitch.
I travel today to pick up my TV for my bedroom. I completely overlooked the fact that it has a DVD player built into it, and I've been huddled around a small computer screen for weeks watching Sopranos at night. Go figure.
I've been holed up in the back three rooms, but it is cozy. The weather has been great, it went from about 10 degrees to roughly 3-4 degrees with a crazy wind that makes it freezing. It hasn't snowed yet, but everyone expects it to soon. The canals sometimes freeze too -- I hope that some do this year, I'll take pics for all of you.
Found out Barneys is opening a shop two blocks from here. Look out.
